I left my heart…

…in San Fran tonight.  The last time we were here, we found Kat McPhee.  I wonder if we will find this season’s runner-up tonight as well?

I much prefer the one-hour audition shows.  Two hours is just too much for these episodes.  An hour is really too long, but I will count my blessings.

Tatiana Del Toro - She is from Puerto Rico, and wants to be a big-time r&b singer, but she is really just a hoochie with an annoying laugh!  I am already annoyed.

Jesus Valenzuela - I thought this guy had a pretty good voice.  I don’t know why Simon didn’t like him.  His kids tipped the scales for him, so we will see how he fares without them in Hollywood.

John Twiford - We just get to hear a snippet of him singing Overjoyed, but he is good!

Allison Iraheta - Another small snippet, this time of Allison singing Natural Woman.  She has a really raspy voice, but its OK.

Raquel Houghton - She sang Preacher Man, and was pretty good, but generic looking.

Adam Lambert - He has a background in musical theatre, and has been in wicked. He is very theatrical, but I like it.  I have high hopes for this one.

Kai Kalama - He sings “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes” and I think he is REALLY good.  He has a distinctive voice.  I have high hopes for him, too.

Ryan said that 17 people made it to Hollywood, even though we only saw seven.  Somehow 17 doesn’t seem like a very high number–San Fran must have been kind of a bust.  Until tomorrow in Kentucky…
