Add to myYahoo! Will the idolblog polls get it right again this week?
While
Tony Bennett was supposed to be performing tonight, apparently he has a cold so
Michael Bublé has been rushed in to fill his place.
First up though, lets take a quick recap of who sang what:
Blake Lewis sang
Mack the Knife
Phil Stacey sang
Day and Night
Melinda Doolittle sang
I Got Rhythm
Chris Richardson sang
Don't Get Around Much Any More
Jordin Sparks sang
On A Clear Day
Gina Glocksen sang
Smile
Sanjaya Malakar sang
Cheek to Cheek
Haley Scarnato sang
Aint Misbehaving
Lakisha Jones sang
Stormy Weather
Taking a look at this weeks polls, what do the numbers indicate about tonight's elimination show.
It should come as no surprize to anyone that Sanjaya is at the top of the "Who does everyone want to go home" poll with 54% - down from 66% last week. Phil Stacey finds himself in third place on 15% while Haley Scarnato is in second on 17%. Everyone else has less than 5% of the vote each.
In the "Who is everyone's favourite Idol" poll this week, once again Melinda Doolittle is at the top and has once again extended her lead, this time out to 37%. Blake Lewis steps back into the #2 place on 18% while Jordin Sparks comes in with 13% of the vote to take third place.
Now, who are the bottom three as predicted by the polls?
It was a slightly tighter race this week but Haley Scarnato takes third lowest spot with 5% of the vote. Second lowest was Gina Glocksen on 4% who simply couldn't muster the same winning performance she gave last week. In the bottom place this week on 3% was Phil Stacey. It should be an interesting result this week because our poll results and dial idols results are significantly different once again.
When it comes to the DialIdol results, third lowest place belongs to Gina Glocksen (7.3%). Second lowest belongs to Lakisha Jones (7.29%) with Haley Scarnato (7.2%) taking the bottom spot. What is interesting is that Phil Stacey comes in second highest behind Melinda Doolittle
So who is going home tonight? Stick around and find out but it's looking like it's going to be Phil Stacey if the Idolblog.com polls can get it right once again. The results are just around the corner.
What was tonight's medley?

Add to myYahoo! It is time again, time to send another Idol home. Last night they sang the songs of Tony Bennet but tonight one must go. Who will it be? DialIdol put the 4 girls in the bottom so I guess anything could happen. More than likely Sanjaya will be safe yet again but we will [...]

Add to myYahoo!Gina Glocksen, in a mild surprise, is out. Haley survived yet again. I predicted Haley's survival and the bottom three but I thought Phil Stacey would go.
The bottom three were my predicted bottom three, which is rare indeed: Haley, Gina and Phil.
The other pairings were, supposedly grouped in voting blocs:
Jordin, LaKisha and Melinda (safe early and likely the top three)
Blake, Sanjaya Chris (also safe early and likely the middle three).
Ryan said Tony Bennett couldn't make it - flu. Michael Buble came in asthe sub. He's no Tony Bennett. But he filled three minutes of air time.He even attempted a lame Antonella Barba joke ("Am I wasting my vote byvoting for Antonella?" he said. Ryan responded, "I did, too." Ha... ha.)
