Here’s a new “viral video” from the movie Prometheus starring Noomi Rapace: “Quiet Eye”.
The new movie directed by Ridley Scott opens on June 8. They’ve really stepped up the promos recently. I am very excited.
Watch the video here:
Yes, there’s another “Somebody That I Used to Know” (Gotye) cover. Fun. performed live from BBC today, May 16, and during their set, they brought out Paramore‘s Hayley Williams for a lovely cover of the hit song. The arrangement is fairly sparse — with only piano and guitar accompaniment.
Unlike many previous performances of this song, this one is quite enjoyable. It is tender, yet powerful.
What do you guys think of this “awesome” cover? Love it or hate it?
I had never tried to attend the network TV upfronts which are held on a yearly basis in NYC, but if this year was any indication, I?ll certainly be back next year for my favorites. I met a plethora of awesome people at the FOX & NBC upfronts on Monday, including Chris Colfer, Cory Monteith, Joshua Jackson, Dane Cook, and many more.
The NBC upfronts were first, and they had fans situated directly across the street from the red carpet. I wasn?t sure how this was gonna work out, but somehow me and a couple friends got a great spot. We saw many, many arrivals including Peter Krause, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, Katharine McPhee, Will Arnett, and Amy Poehler.
Most of the people went directly to the red carpet, but we managed to call several of them over. First I met Justin Kirk, who I knew from Weeds.
Next was Jesse Bradford from Bring It On. I?m told he?s been in other things, but nothing tops Bring It On.
Then John Favreau came over. He was so nice! I think I was the only one who recognized him.
Adam Scott was amazingly nice too.
Me and my friend Danielle kept shouting Dane Cook?s name because, well, he?s amazing. And he actually came across the street! He was so freaking nice, and he also made conversation when I told him I just saw Detention a couple weeks ago. CRAZY movie. When I mentioned it, his face kind of lit up.
I also got to meet Megan Hilty again from Smash. I met her back at the GLAAD awards and she was just as nice this time around.
In the middle of NBC upfronts, my friend Sam frantically texted me and I ended up going to VH1 (MTV Studios) where I was able to meet Chris Colfer on his way out of the building. He was very humble and gracious. I freaking adore him! He even tried to give us advice on where to catch Adam Lambert leaving the building in the front, but we just missed him. Chris was worth it!
Then, we headed back to NBC for a little while. We saw Adam Levine & Cee Lo Green leaving, but Adam didn?t really acknowledge us. Maybe next time. We didn?t stay for long, then headed to Beacon Theater to check out FOX upfronts. After about an hour, we hated the setup so we left and stayed at Wollman Rink in Central Park for the FOX afterparty since we were sure we would have better luck there.
The first person that I met at Wollman was David Boreanaz, who i still know as Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. I have wanted to meet him since I was little. This was a total dream come true. He stopped for every single fan down several long, long barricades. He is amazing!
Next was Joshua Jackson from Fringe and Dawson?s Creek.
Then Winston from New Girl. Lamorne Morris rocks!
Shannon Woodward from Raising Hope.
Lucas Neff from Raising Hope. He was trying to make conversation with everyone he saw.
Martha Plimpton from Raising Hope and The Goonies. When she came out everyone around me was spouting off Goonies references.
Cory Monteith, Naya Rivera, and Lea Michelle all stopped for fans all at the same time, and all hell broke loose. Cory stopped for everybody though. I have never met anyone so gracious or appreciate of his fanbase. Naya and Lea were too far away for me to meet, though. But Cory was worth it. I adore him.
Britney Spears attracted a ridiculous amount of paparazzi and fans chasing after her. She looked gorgeous.
One of my main draws from New Girl is Max Greenfield who plays Schmidt. He was extremely nice, even though my picture came out blurry.
Ryan Seacrest was cool, even with screams of “This…. IS AMERICAN IDOL” coming from fans.
Randy Jackson gave me a fist-pump.
Ryan Murphy was so cool. I have wanted to meet him since Nip/Tuck.
Gordon Ramsay wasn?t as mean as his show would have you believe.
We saw Simon Cowell leaving. I heard his British accent in person. Hilarious!
We ran to the hotel where they were having an after-after party and managed to meet several people there too. I got a better picture with Joshua Jackson than the one from before.
Lucy Punch also stopped for me and was super adorable. I love her accent!
Mindy Kaling was extraordinarily friendly. ?Are you guys going to American Apparel after this? Cuz I would.? She?s so funny!
Cat Deeley was on her phone but stopped anyway. Her dress was beautiful too.
Zooey Deschanel only stopped for autograph hunters even though I was the only fan there. When she looked up though I managed to snap something that could resemble a picture, I suppose. I really love her and I adore She & Him. (500) Days of Summer is one of my favorite movies ever.
My last meeting of the night was quite successful, too. John Francis Daley stopped for me as soon as I called his name and was smiling the whole time. He was so cute! Freaks and Geeks forever.
In between all this madness, I got to view a Monchelle kiss IN PERSON, which was incredible but I was too busy picking up my jaw from off the floor to take a picture. Well, that was my epic day. Kind of insane, but so worth it.

Next week is Glee‘s season three finale, and it’s an end of an era. In this brand new sneak peak for next week’s episode “Goodbye,” we go behind the scenes as some of the cast prepares to shoot their last scenes ever. Dianna Agron and Amber Riley have not yet confirmed if they will be returning next season (most likely not; see their tweets below).
The past three years have seen some of the most memorable TV moments. From Quinn’s baby drama to Jesse St. James egging Rachel to countless tribute episodes (most notably the Britney Spears extravaganza), Glee has become a pop culture phenomenon that will now go down in history. As a hardcore Gleek, I can’t even deal right now. Next week, I’m sure to be a weeping mess. Oh wait, too late.
Dianna tweeted from the set on May 9:
I don’t know all that is to come, but I know what a day like this means. Four years of love, light & support. To the cast, crew & creators.
? Dianna Agron (@DiannaAgron) May 9, 2012
Likewise, Amber tweeted:
“That’s a wrap on Amber Riley! Just closed a chapter in my life, the only thing I’ve known day in and day out for three years. I’m going to miss the whole Glee family, seeing them everyday! I have so many brothers and sisters now But I am looking forward to a much needed and deserved summer vacation! SCHOOL’S OUT Glee Kids! Let’s play!”
TV Guide spoke with American Idol mentor, Jimmy Iovine and here’s what he has to say about the remaining 3 contestants. There are also quotes from the finalists themselves:
Phillip Phillips - “I know my boundaries of what I can and can’t do,” he says. “I’m more of a singer-songwriter [...]

Jennifer Lopez‘s comeback is on a roll! This year, she takes the top spot on Forbes’ Celebrity 100 after earning $52 million. Lady Gaga — who was last year’s most powerful celebrity — earned the same as Lopez but considering she hasn’t toured as much as in the past, Gaga slips to the No. 5 slot. Lopez’s domination is primarily attributed to her popularity resurgence after joining the American Idol panel last year. Now in her second year, she’s been thrust back into the spotlight and released a new album called Love? and is prepping another major release this year. J.Lo also appears in the upcoming movie What to Expect When You’re Expecting — which hits theaters this weekend, May 18.
Oprah, Justin Bieber and Rihanna round out the Top 4. Despite Oprah’s hefty paycheck ouf $165 million, she could not unseat Jenny from the Block at the top. Forbes takes into consideration several factors, including social standing (on social media, that is), press, TV/Radio, etc.
Here’s the full Top 10:
