Tonight is the American Idol 11 Season Finale results show on May 13, 2012! Wow. Is the season really over already? In a few short hours, we will have a new winner! Exciting! As far as musical guests go, we have everyone under the sun — from Jordin Sparks, Aerosmith and Jennifer Lopez to Reba, Kristin Chenoweth and Chaka Khan! Yay! There will also be a performance tribute to the late Donna Summer and Robin Gibb (of the Bee Gees). RIP. PLUS, Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery will help “celebrate” the new winner!

132 MILLION votes came in last night, according to Nigel Lythgoe. That tops last year’s finale total of 120 million.

You guys here at Rickey.org have predicted that Jessica will win! Are you guys correct?

I’ve been wrong this entire season, but I still predict that Phillip will win. You can check out my conspiracy theories HERE. I would love for Jessica to win. As far as a whole body of work, she beats P2 hands down — even though she had a lackluster show last night. Can she topple WGWG?

They’re all dressed in white! OMG. A musical explosion of epic proportions! They all sounds so great. Erika is a back to blonde! Midway through, dancers dressed all in black swoop onto the stage. It’s SYTYCD!!! How fun! QUEEN ELISE!!!

Musical Performance – Phillip Phillips and John Fogerty - “Have you Ever Seen the Rain?” & “Bad Moon Rising” by CCR

Love these songs. Hmm. Not bad. P2 actually sounds pretty good with John. At least he’s forced to stay with the melody, right? John is dressed just as casually as P2. Am I seeing P2′s older self? Heh. P2 gives thanks midway before diving into the second song. Good stuff. Jam band session!

American Idol Grand Finale 2012 - Live blog

A record 132 million votes were cast last night for Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips.  In two hours, one of them will be crowned the next American Idol.

To kick off the night, the finalists return for the first group number of the night and perform Runaway Baby.

Prediction: Who is going to win American Idol

The polls are incredibly interesting this week.  In the lead up to last night's finale, Jessica Sanchez was leading Phillip Phillips by 61% ot 39%.  After last night's show, the numbers have changed.

Between the two contestants, there is now only 4%, giving Jessica Sanchez a small advantage of 52% to Phillip Phillips' 48%.

However, if we're to base the result on which winners single was your favorite, Phillip Phillips' Home lead Jessica Sanchez' Change Nothing but 57% to 43%.

We're expecting Jessica Sanchez to be crowned the 11th American Idol tonight.  Roll on the results.
